His areas of specialisation and interests are in Enterprise (IT) Architecture, Cloud Technology Infrastructure, e-Learning Technologies, ICT for Development, Business Aligned IT policy & Strategy Development, IT Program & Project Management, IT Audit, Information Systems Networks and Security.

Tiwonge Davis Manda, PhD

Mobile & Health Information Specialist

Tiwonge has over 16 years of experience working in the area of large digital infrastructure design. He has extensive experience in consulting, technology strategy development, project management, risk analysis and mitigation, database software design, development and integration, information architecting as well as designing and facilitating ICT training. Since 2008, Tiwonge has actively worked in the design, implementation, and support of the national Health Management Information System (HMIS) in Malawi, providing technical assistance to the Ministry of Health. Between 2011 and 2014, he served as project manager and lead implementer for DHIS Mobile solutions for reporting health statistics between primary health facilities and district health offices, using mobile phones and a centralized database solution. He has also been involved in large capacity development initiatives, including training of e-Government and ESCOM staff. He holds a BSc. (Computer Science major) from the University of Malawi, and MSc. and PhD in information systems, from the University of Oslo, Norway.

Mr Joseph Mwale

Systems and information engineer

Joseph Mwale is a holder of Master’s Degree in Networked Information Engineering from Sheffield Hallam University (United Kingdom) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from the University of Malawi, Chancellor College. As a Systems and information engineer, Joseph is an expert in analysing systems, information, data and business processes. Joseph is conversant with ISO 29148 the International standard that provides guidelines for defining system requirements and ISO 27001 which defines security requirements of a system developed to ensure the system is compliant to recognized International Standards. He has also experience in identifying and mapping critical business processes (BPR). Quality Assurance (QA) is a process that ensures that a developed system is reliable, user friendly and meets planned functionality. Joseph has vast knowledge and experience in conducting quality assurance. Joseph has other practical skills which are useful in system development and implementation such as risk assessment, change management, and project management.He has also analysis experience in use case analysis, operational analysis, functional analysis, prototyping, gap analysis, stakeholder analysis and SWOT analysis.

Mr. Peter Mtema

ICT Capacity Specialist

Mr. Peter Mtema holds a Master of Science Degree in Computing Science and is a member of Microsoft Certified Solutions and Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist. He is a seasoned ICT professional with theoretical knowledge, as an academic, and practical skills, as a consultant, in the field of Information and Communication Technology. His skills also include the management of implementation of ICT projects; and development of software for the public and private sector. Peter has performed numerous ICT capacity analysis tasks for government departments and private institutions.

Blessings Chizala Ngwira is a professional Cloud Infrastructure Specialist with a proven track record of orchestrating and provisioning cloud resources. He underwent a one year intensive practical oriented Huawei Cloud Computing training at the University of Mauritius in collaboration with Huawei. Blessings has vast experience working with Google Cloud and Amazon Web Services. Among his key Cloud Computing skills include: resource virtualization, virtual machines provisioning, load balancing techniques, containerization, networking as well as server performance optimization.

James Kambere

System Engineer

James Kambere is a very experienced System Engineer with vast knowledge in web and mobile applications development. James has a BSc majoring in Computer Science and Mathematics obtained in 2015 from the University of Malawi – Chancellor College. As a System Engineer, James has advanced knowledge in several programming languages including Java, JavaScript, NodeJS, C++, PHP, HTML, CSS and many more. In database management James has worked with several Database Management Systems including MSQL, MYSQL and Mongo DB.
